The sole of the GLIDERIDE™ shoe is called GUIDESOLE™ technology and is made with two layers of foam—a firmer layer of FLYTEFOAM™ technology over a thin layer of FLYTEFOAM™ Propel technology. The FLYTEFOAM™ technology provides cushioning while helping to give the sole structure. The FLYTEFOAM™ propel technology adds a bit of softness and bounce to the heel. Also in the heel, an insert of rearfoot GEL™ technology cushioning is optimally placed between the two layers of foam for added protection.
GUIDESOLE™ technology combines these innovative midsole foams and a rocker sole design to give the runner a soft landing and more efficient stride for the long run.
